ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIKA SISWA LEVEL 2 DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL PERSAMAAN DAN PERTIDAKSAMAAN LINEAR SATU VARIABEL

Abstract

 

The aim this study was to produce an analysis toward the level 2 students literacy mathematics ability in solving problems related to one variable equation and inequation linear. This study was done in Oeusapi JuniorHigh  School by using 19 students of grade VII3 as the participants. This study used qualitative method by using test, observation and interview as the instrumen to celleting the data. The data analysis technique used was Miles and Huberman analysis model (flow model). The result of the study showed  that all student could interpret and identify the situation by context the needs direct conclusion  because the level of the quations difficulty was easy. On the part of selecting the relevan information from the single source and using single  data display,  the students found it difficult in doing aljabar. Operation while when using the basic algoritm formula this the procedures or aggrements, the student still make mistakes in using adding operation.  Students also still find it difficult to find the reasons on the result shown especialy when doing the grouping of the kinds.  This is caused  by,  the low literacy ability of the students in answering quation related to mathematics problems.
