Abstract

This report article presents a community service initiative conducted at SMK Swakarsa Ruteng with the aim of improving English speaking skills among class X students through the implementation of the role-play method. The study consisted of two cycles, during which data was collected through observation and testing. The results revealed a significant improvement in students' speaking skills following the implementation of the role-play method. The findings of this study highlight the effectiveness of the role-play method in English language learning, as it not only enhances students' speaking skills but also serves as an alternative approach for teachers to optimize their teaching methods and stimulate students' enthusiasm, activity, attention, and cooperation. The report includes tables and observations on students' performance and motivation, providing valuable insights and serving as a reference for English teachers seeking to develop their teaching techniques.
