Growth Response Of Various Lengths Of Slim Orange (Citrus Aurantifolia Swingle) Stem Cuttings With Natural ZPT Types

Abstract

Lime is a fruit that is often found in Indonesia. One way to increase production in the cultivation of lime cuttings is by using cuttings appropriately and supported by natural growth regulators. This study aims to determine the length of the cuttings and the best natural growth regulator for lime cuttings. The research was carried out from June to August 2021, at the Wedomartani Experimental Garden, Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications. There are 2 treatment factors in this study, the first factor is the length of the stem cuttings (10, 15 and 20 cm). The second factor is a variety of natural growth regulators (without natural ZPT, tomato extract, Moringa leaf extract and banana weevil extract). The results showed that the use of cuttings material length of 20 cm was best in the treatment of shoot emergence speed, number of leaves, shoot length, number of shoots, longest root length, and shoot diameter. The use of growth regulators for banana weevil extract with a concentration of 15 ml/1 L of water was the best on the parameters of shoot emergence speed, number of leaves, shoot length, number of shoots, and shoot diameter.
