Implementasi Kegiatan Pekarangan Pangan Lestari Di Kabupaten Bangka Selatan

Abstract

Law Number 18 of 2012 and Government Regulation Number 17 of 2015 mandate the diversification of food consumption through land utilization. The Food Security Agency has been implementing the Sustainable Food House Area program since 2010, which transformed into the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) program in 2020, aiming to enhance household food security by utilizing home yards, idle land, and vacant land. In South Bangka Regency, the P2L program was implemented to address food security challenges in coastal areas with limited land. Quantitative research was conducted in five villages through interviews, observations, and secondary data from the Department of Agriculture, Food, and Fisheries. Research results show the program's success based on four indicators: seed production (556,046 seeds/year), yield production (3,063.6 kg/year), yard cultivation (9,375 polybags/year), and post-harvest handling (2,744.6 kg/year). These achievements exceeded the Ministry of Agriculture's 2023/2024 targets. Overall, P2L successfully enhanced family food security through optimal processing and distribution of post-harvest products.
