Potassium Fertilizer Dosage, Flufier Corn, KCl, flufier Corn ProductivityAbstract
Flufier corn contains adequate nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals so that they can be used as ingredients for the food industry. However, farmers who cultivate plants traditionally are often inaccurate in choosing the type of fertilizer even using to little or to little fertilizer will have an impact on production, causing its economic value to decrease. This reseacrh aims to determine the effect of potassium fertilizer doses on the growth and yield of flufier corn and to determine the optimum dose of potassium fertilizer for the growth of flufier corn plants. This research was carried out in Nunur Village, Satar Mese District, Manggarai Regency, for 4 months from March to June 2024. This research was conducted using a Randomized Bloch Design (RAK) with a potassium fertilizer dose factor consisting of 4 treatment levels K0= no fertilizer KCl, K1= 100% KCl fertillizer dose (equivalent to 40 grams/bed), K2= 150% KCl fertilzer dose (equivalent to 60 grams/bed) and K3= 200% KCl fertilizer dose (equivalent to 80 grams/bed). The research variables observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), age at 50% flowering, cob length (cm), weight of cobs with husks (grams), weight of cobs without husks (grams), number of rows of seeds and soil K analysis. Observation data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If there were significant differences between treatmens, it was continued with the Duncan test at the 5% level. The results of the research showed that a dose of potassium fertilizer had a significant effect on the growth and yield of flufier corn plants research variables. The optimum dose of potassium fertilizer for the growth of glutions corn is treatment K3= 200% dose of potassium fertilizer (equivalent to 80 grams/bed) or 80 kg/ha.
