Abstract

The application of the Discovery Learning Model in Mathematics in class XII MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Langke Rembong for the academic year 2021/2022 is based on problems that occur in class XII MIA, the problem is, the learning achievement of class XII MIA students is very low. This classroom action research runs in two cycles. From the results of the action in the first cycle, it was obtained information that there were 28 students who had completed the KKM, while the other 8 students were declared not to have completed the KKM, because the score they got was still below the KKM. The number of students who completed the first cycle has increased if you look at the number of students in the pre-cycle which only amounted to 6 students. The percentage of students who completed the first cycle was 78%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, it was obtained that there were 33 students of class XII MIA who had completed the KKM, while the other 3 students were declared to have not completed the KKM, because the grades of these 3 students were still below the KKM. The number of students who completed the second cycle increased by 5, because previously, namely in the first cycle, there were only 28. The percentage of completeness in the second cycle reached 91.67%. The average value of the class in the first cycle was 81. While in the second cycle the average value of the class increased to 87. This indicates that the average posttest score of students in each cycle has increased.
