PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the use of realistic mathematical approaches and their impact on the mathematical connection ability of high school elementary school students.The research method used is the literature review. The final results obtained are based on studies that have been done by previous researchers as well as the results of observations and interviews obtained the reasons why mathematical ability, especially the ability of mathematical connections is relatively low. The use of approaches that tend to be monotonous, fairly abstract learning activities, make students bored and avoid mathematics. As a result, learning mathematics becomes meaningless. However, by using a realistic mathematical approach, especially its relationship with the mathematical connection ability of high grade elemtary school students, it is concluded that the use of a realistic mathematical approach has a positive influence on improving the mathematical connection ability of high grade elementary school students.Thus, a realistic mathematical approach in learning mathematics has a positive effect on the ability of mathematical connections of elementary school students.
