PERAN GURU KELAS DALAM MENINGKATKAN DISIPLIN BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract

The success of education at school will be achieved if there is an effort to improve the quality of education. In reality many students were difficult in learning discipline. The class teachers did not do their tasks and roles in helping students in learning discipline. This happened at SDI Mbongos. This type of research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects were four classroom teachers and 12 students at SDI Mbongos. Data collection used interview, observation, and documentation. The purpose of the study was to determine the role of classroom teachers in improving students learning discipline.The results showed that classroom teachers at SDI Mbongos had four roles, namely teachers as educators and lectures, role models and mentors to motivate students to be disciplined in their study. These four teacher roles have succeeded in improving student’s learning discipline. Discipline of student learnings appear in using study time effectively and behave well.
