This research is based on students’ low academic achievement in science learning of elementary school. Even though the teacher has implemented innovative learning, there are still gaps that cause low science learning outcomes. So it is needed a learning model that accommodates the characteristics of science during the learning process. Based on this problem, one of the learning models that can be used is the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). This study aims to: examine the application of the TSTS learning model in science learning; describe the effectiveness of the use of the TSTS learning model in improving the science learning achievement of elementary students; explain the supporting and inhibiting factors of using the TSTS learning model in science learning in elementary schools. This research is a literature study. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results indicate that the use of the TSTS learning model is effective in learning science in elementary schools so that it has an impact on improving science learning achievement. This is because in the learning process students can be active in discussions and exchange opinions with friends in the group and can develop science process skills and students' scientific attitudes. Thus, it can be concluded that the presence of the TSTS model in science learning provides flexibility for students so that they are able to train students' critical thinking skills, and make it easier for students to understand difficult concepts so that their learning achievement increases.
