KATA MAJEMUK BAHASA MANGGARAI ( SUATU KAJIAN TEORETIS )

Abstract

This theoretical study of BM compound words is a study of the views of linguists in the literature
that are considered relevant by the author about compound words related to theories, concepts,
and paradigms put forward by experts on compound words. The problem studied in the study of
BM compound words is "whether the views or theories put forward by the linguists who are the
source of this study can explain the phenomenon of compound words in BM. This study of BM
compound words is carried out by reviewing reading materials or libraries that discuss compound
words which are then linked to the reality/phenomenon of BM compound words. In this study,
every opinion or theory about compound words is directly related to the reality/phenomenon of BM
compound words. Based on the results of this study, compound words in BM consist of (1)
coordinating compound words, (2) subordinating compound words, and idiomatic compound words.
