IMPLIKATUR DALAM TUTURAN ABDUR ARSYAD PADA ACARA STAND UP COMEDY INDONESIA SEASON 4: KAJIAN PRAGMATIK

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of implicatures by Abdur Arsyad in the Indonesian stand-up
comedy season 4 event both in terms of types, functions of implicatures, and the issues raised. This
type of research is descriptive and qualitative. The research data used is in the form of Abdur
Arsyad's speech at the Indonesian stand-up comedy season 4 event which contains implicatures.
The data sources of this research were obtained from 16 video recordings of his appearance on the
Youtube Chanel Stand Up Comedy KOMPAS TV. The data collection technique used is the listening
and note-taking technique. The data analysis technique refers to the Miles and Huberman analysis
technique, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed the use of
implicatures by Abdur Arsyad in the Indonesian stand-up comedy season 4. The use of implicatures
was categorized into several types and functions of use. The types of implicatures found include
conventional implicatures and unconventional implicatures. The implicature functions found include
assertive functions, expressive functions, directive functions, and commissive functions. In addition,
the problems raised in the implicature speech uttered by Abdur Arsyad at the Stand-Up Comedy
Indonesia season 4 show the issues of rights and obligations, education problems, public welfare problems, health
problems, and infrastructure development as well as hygiene and development issues in the city of Jakarta
