PENERAPAN TRANSFORMASI LAGU “WUAT WA’I”KARYA ARMIN SUNARTO SEBATUUNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERPEN SISWA KELAS VII A SMPN 2 RUTENG-BEOKINA

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' short story writing skills using the technique of applying song transformation to class VII A students of SMPN 2 Ruteng - Beokina. This type of research is classified into class action research (CAR). There are several co mponents in CAR, namely, planning, action, observation, reflection, using two cycles. The research subjects were students of class VII A Ruteng - Beokina Middle School 2 and Indonesian language teachers. The data collection techniques of this study were test s and non - tests. The test technique is in the form of students' short story writing and observation sheets, while the non - test technique is in the form of an interview sheet and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of song transformation in learning to write short stories students with the technique of applying song transformation has increased from cycle I to cycle II. The increase in results is evidenced by an increase in the percentage of test results and observations in each cycle. The first cycle test results obtained a percentage of 35.71% and for the results of the observation percentage of 65.8%. Based on the results of these percentages the researchers made improvements in the second cycle. The results obtained in t he second cycle obtained test values with a percentage of 96.42% and an observation value with a percentage of 87.8%. The use of song transformation implementation techniques can improve the short story writing skills of Grade VII A students of SMPN 2 Ru teng - Beokina.
