Gaya Bahasa dalam Antologi Puisi Sergius Mencari Bacchus Karya Norman Erikson Pasaribu

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form and meaning of language style in the poetry anthology of Sergius Seeking Bacchus by Norman Erikson Pasaribu. Researchers examined the poetry anthology of Sergius Seeking Bacchus by Norman Erikson Pasaribu in terms of language style. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive analysis methods. The data source of this research is the anthology of poetry containing selected poems. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences, or verses that contain language style. The results showed that the linguistic style that often appeared in the object of this research was comparative linguistic style which was dominated by metaphorical linguistic style, followed by repetitive linguistic style which was dominated by asonance linguistic style, then followed by interrelated linguistic style which was dominated by erotetic linguistic style, and finally conflicting linguistic style or sarcasm. In connection with the meaning of the style of language found in this study, the poet with his expert ise makes each poem have a meaning that is very impressed and profound.
