The industrial revolution 4.0 is a trend in the industrial world that combines automation technology with internet technology. Technological advances related to the industrial revolution 4.0 also affect the world of education, including Early Childhood Education. Early Childhood Education as the first education for children requires teachers as the frontline in the world of education to have various competencies in facing the industrial revolution 4.0. The competencies that must be possessed by teachers are: pedagogic competence, personality competence, professional competence, and social competence. Social competence is one of the competencies that is no less important than other competencies. Social competence possessed by teachers is very important in developing children's social skills in the form of empathy, participation in group activities, being generous, communicating with classmates and schoolmates, negotiating, and solving problems. The development of good social attitudes in children, of course, can be done by the teacher if the teacher has good social competence and this cannot be replaced by machine technology. The social competence of Early Childhood Education teachers can be developed and adapted to the needs in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 so that Early Childhood Education teachers are ready to compete in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.
