EDUCATING EARLY CHILDHOOD IN THE ERA OF DIGITALIZATION

Abstract

Parents are included in family members who have an obligation to educate children properly by paying attention to all aspects of the development of the child. The changes in the current era where everything has been dominated by technology, indirectly these changes have given the obligation to parents to have a good and appropriate form of parenting in educating children. The purpose of this study is to describe how to educate early childhood in the digitalization area that can be applied by parents to their children. This study used the literature study method. The results of this study are that educating children in the digitalization area is a form of parenting that adapts to the real situation, parents not only prohibit children from using digital device technology but parents must provide opportunities for children to be able to feel the existence of technological development, by providing limitation in the use of the digital device, monitoring children’s activities when using a digital device, balancing children in using digital devices with physical activities, making agreements in using digital devices and providing sanctions if children violate the agreement
