This study is motivated by the problem of low writing skills of third grade students at SDI Redek Hawe, especially in placing punctuation marks and also in the use of capital letters. The low writing skills are caused by several things, namely (1) lack of motivation in students, (2) lack of encouragement from the environment to help children learn and do assignments at home. This study aims to describe the efforts of class teachers in improving the writing skills of grade III students at SDI Redek Hawe in the 2023/2024 school year, (3) students have no intention of learning to write. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method that presents data in the form of descriptions in the form of narratives. The data collection techniques used are observation interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model from Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the efforts made by class teachers at SDI Redek Hawe in improving writing skills are using learning media, increasing cooperation with parents, and applying repetitive practice techniques in writing learning.
