PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DI SDK MANO II

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of grade IV students at SDK Mano II. This research aims to determine the role of parents in increasing the learning motivation of grade IV students at SDK Mano II in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research type used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study research design. Data collection techniques and instruments are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validity testing uses triangulation of sources, techniques, and theories. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the role of parents has not been fully implemented in increasing students' learning motivation. The role of parents as mentors and facilitators has not been fully implemented to the maximum. Meanwhile, motivators and encouragers have been carried out but need to be maximally improved. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that it is important for parents to carry out their role optimally so that students have increased learning motivation
