The research was motivated by the existence of hyperactive students at SDK Wae Peca Ting who were very difficult to manage. The behavior of hyperactive children really disrupts the teaching and learning process in class. These children often create chaos in class, disturb friends who are studying or are listening to the teacher's explanation, often ignore the teacher who is giving material, can even fight the teacher with words that are inappropriate for a student to say to the teacher, often go out entering class while the learning process is taking place without the permission of the teacher who is carrying out learning in the classroom, the teacher's role in forming the character of hyperactive students is lacking. The aim of this research is to find out the reasons why students are not disciplined and the role of teachers in shaping the character of hyperactive students in class VIB SDK Wae Peca Ting. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research using a descriptive case study approach. The subject of this research is the homeroom teacher of hyperactive children at SDK Wae Peca Ting. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of this research show that the factors causing students to be undisciplined are: student personality factors (lazy to come to school, dressing not in accordance with school rules), environmental factors (lack of availability of learning support facilities from schools such as learning media) and teacher factors (can be seen from the quality Teaching The role of teachers in shaping the disciplined character of hyperactive students is: 1) Teachers as educators. The teacher designs varied and interesting learning materials according to the needs of hyperactive students, places hyperactive children in the front seat and provides positive reinforcement in the form of praise so that they remain focused on learning. 2) Teachers as advisors. Provide guidance to students and reprimand them when they make mistakes and communicate with parents to understand student needs. 3) Teacher as evaluator. Provide assessments using appropriate evaluation instruments to monitor student progress.
